Using industry standard security techniques ensures that your personal financial information remains confidential. Flagler Bank uses security techniques such as: Personal customer numbers, passwords, private images, pass phrases, data encryption and firewalls. These security features uniquely identify you to Flagler Bank Internet Banking and allow you to be certain that you are at the genuine Flagler Internet Banking site. It is your responsibility to keep your password secure. You will also need to use a secure browser. Certain browsers have the ability to communicate securely by encrypting the information as it passes across the Internet. This method of communication is called Secure Socket Layer (SSL). Flagler Bank requires the use of a secure browser before you connect to Internet Banking. Additionally, your information passes through a "firewall" which is a computer specifically designed to keep out unauthorized users. As information sent to and from us via e-mail is not secure, we ask that you not include confidential account information in your e-mail to us, nor will we return confidential information to you via e-mail. To discuss confidential information, we ask that you contact us by telephone or in writing, or visit one of our branch offices. Anti-virus software should be installed on your home computer and laptop to scan your e-mail and the files on your computer for potential viruses that may be attached. If a virus is detected, you are notified immediately and the anti-virus software will prevent the e-mail or file from being sent to you before it’s opened. You should run your anti-virus on a regular, frequent basis to prevent computer infection like viruses, worms, or Trojan Horses from entering your computer system.
